I talked about this throughout my campaign. I’m sickened by the thought that we’d make a deal with the Taliban that has no provisions regarding Afghani women. It’s a moral outrage.

American women should be a moral force, beginning with standing for the rights of women & children everywhere. Taliban’s brutality towards women was an issue even before 9/11; we mustn’t let up our vigilance regarding their protection in any way possible.mailchi.mp/marianne2020/wome…

It's disgusting! And sadly, this is the second time we are screwing the women, and the ppl of Afghanistan! So glad I spent a year of my life there, away from my family, so we could go and make deals like this!

It's pretty fucked that over the span of someone's life, they could see the US befriend, unfriend, and then re-friend the Taliban.

gotta keep in mind who made the deal (do you see any women involved?)

Oh Marianne! You're so superficial even though you mean well. But get a grip w/reality! Muslim women are inherently 2nd class, subject to being dehumanized, according to Muhammed! muslimhadith.blogspot.com/20…

"Reduction in violence" - Sounds like something out of a horror movie.

Just how could such a provision be enforced? The main concern is stop killing people. Baby steps.

Should anyone be surprised? We don't make deals to help people(ours or their's). We make deals to protect interests. Those interests are probably not "our" interests. And the dealmakers want to keep it that way.

This is the dark truth of the Taliban besides the fact they kill they also have no place for a strong women in society. They would not allow for a deal that gives rights to women.
