Some say Sanders doesn’t deserve the nomination because he’s “not a Democrat.” Any American should be able to run for president, but the political parties have made it very difficult to do so as an Independent. And the party of inclusion should actually be the party of inclusion.

Marianne, you have always encouraged us to look at our weaknesses as well as our strengths - both individually and collectively as a society. Thomas Hardy said “if a way to the Better there be, it exacts a full look at the Worst.” It takes courage and the love of others... 🙏🏼

But Bernie is actually an ancient democrat from back before JFK. So a return to serving US citizenry is the platform. Ironically the down trodden who suffer, some of which are in direct opposition to his proposals, will benefit from his movement. #eraofexcess

Ooooh, I'm excited to have you on the team! Well said. Also, how is this a thing? He caucuses democrat, but the re-branded republican that they threw a blue sticker on recently is a 'true democrat'?

To anyone with that argument. OK, we will run Bernie as an Independent and see how much you like it...

They certainly don't seem to give a damn that he's an Independent when they need his VOTE TO PASS A BILL on the SENATE FLOOR!
