The superdelegate system was designed to keep control of nomination process in the hands of party elite. It’s very undemocratic, and any candidate has a right to protest it if it’s used against them.

Democrat Party is a private organization. They don’t even need to have votes to choose their nominee if they don’t want to. If you want to run for President as the (D) nominee, you gotta play by their rules. Otherwise, run as an Independent if you don’t like it
