Like...housing costs that have outpaced incomes? Trade that gutted middle class income? Medical costs and insurance that have risen for 40 years, leaving more and more people over the decades without basic healthcare? All those things that have been going on long before 2016?

This is so true. We only need to look at history to see how pure love and kindness for others has defeated rising hate. Mandela, MLK, Ghandi, Mother Theresa showed the way. But the world today seems devoid of such characters while authoritarianism is on the rise.

Morality cannot be used as a baseline fundamental against modern neocons and neo liberals. Morality limits the length you will go in order to win against people who don’t follow “moral laws” Since God has essentially been killed, morality is just a point of view.
