It should be a national goal that every school in America be a palace of learning, culture & the arts. This isn’t a matter of possibilities; it’s only a matter of priorities. The way to have a more prosperous economy 10 years from now is to take better care of our 10yr olds today

(1/3) I went to one of those underserved elementary schools that required us to buy our own school supplies. When it was time to buy the school supplies, my mother had to buy the cheapest school supplies that she could find.

The way to a more prosperous future is to not saddle our children w/ debt, which is exactly what building multi-million dollar “palace” like government structures does. You don’t need palaces to deliver quality education (unless your goal is to teach financial recklessness).

We need to scrap the old citizens united that enshrines numbers on a corporate balance sheet as "people" with the right to buy elections, & make a new covenant that remembers the fact that children r people whose voices've been drowned out by profit margins deemed to be persons.
