At CNN Town Halls tonight there were questions about children in cages. There are even more: every child living in a domestic war zone is also in a cage. Every child we fail to teach to read by the age of 8 is living in a cage. Every child who’s hungry & unfed is living in a cage

Not every cage has visible walls but the people within it are still caged. For a child, poverty is a cage. For a child, hunger is a cage. For a child, illiteracy is a cage.Silent emergencies are just as important as screaming ones. Millions of American children are silently caged

Just so we’re clear about numbers here: 13 million children in America are hungry; 100,000 children in America are homeless; millions of American children can’t learn to read by the age of 8, w/ therefore lowered chance of high school graduation & greater chance of incarceration.

Cages are a a part of the spiritual journey, they help us develop boundaries. Those hungry children don't need socialism, they need meditation (which cures all inner and outer ailments, FYI). Unlike you, I can beat Donald Trump to #RealignAmericasChakrahs

No one watches CNN, they are not a credible news source.

This needs as much attention as the glaring atrocities at the border. The indifference and unnecessary cruelty reflected in irresponsible policy & rhetoric in the name of fiscal conservatism is a front to sanction and glorify an unfettered crime spree targeting our children.

We need a US Dept of Children & Youth. Chronic trauma of millions of American children is beyond anything our current infrastructure - Dept of Ed, HHS etc. - can absorb. Here was my plan:marianne2020.com/issues/plan…
