Hating the haters just makes you a hater. I was always impressed by FDR’s name for the Nazis: “those unworthy men.” We can do what we do out of love for our country, not personal hate for anyone. It makes a difference in the tenor of a movement & how it comes across to the world.

I agree, but I straddle that thought with wanting to throat punch the whole bunch of ‘em. Just being honest.

I gotta start giving you ❤️s for things like this - not just responding. 😁FDR. Well, remember, he was an inspiration, but he was one hell of a legislator too. He had power. He met a crisis with strength and literally saved THE WORLD.

We should stop invoking FDR, he excluded Black Americans from financial support + federal job guarantee, and did his best to create deeply segregated neighborhoods by prohibiting Black Americans from owning homes in white neighborhoods and lowering values of Black owned homes

I have come to think the core focus should be on ‘us’ and see what can be done to dissipate unhelpful, counterproductive rage. I think the call should be to people of good will regardless of varying policy or worldview perspectives. This is the ‘us’ to whom I belong.

We can love the haters while rejecting their hate.

I'm so sick of this fighting fire with fire mentality most candidates have. The tribalism is draining our country. That's exactly Why I support Yang. He will handle this with empathy and compassion. He would untie our great country #Yang2020
