I totally understand not showing up for the speech; I totally understand walking out on the speech; I totally understand ripping up the speech. I have those feelings too. But none of those things will help us win in 2020. All of them will turn off voters we need if we’re to win.

You miss my point. I’m a human being and I do feel outrage at the lies, the lawlessness, the authoritarian tendencies. But emotional discipline means you don’t always act on every emotion. You make a higher choice in how to express yourself. That’s not a ruse; it’s maturity

Pelosi can hardly be accused of acting on 'every emotion'. She acted on one emotion, with a gesture, in front of the world. If a man stood in my house and lied to my people for hours, I'd (want to) rip something else of his. She performed an effective piece of tactical theater.

Not sure being Polite in the face of absurd lies and chronic misbehavior is the appropriate response. I respect Mrs Pelosi for meeting power with power. Whispering doesn’t work.
Yeah exactly. Like the lady or not. How she behaved was immature. She’s not a child who doesn’t have the mental maturity to control her emotions. She’s an adult and she should act like one if she wants people to take her seriously
