But we must also be smart. We do need to stand up to totalitarianism with every ounce of our being but we need to be psychologically astute regarding the nature of the opponent. It is very wily, and the game is not just being played on the level of external traditional politics.

True. It's an attack on the very notion that there's something more to being human then vengeance, payback, spiteful twitter rants, cult obedience, blood and soil, vampire capitalism at the expense of children first -always - as if the real enemy was the light within us all.
