Also: "we’re not the ones carrying guns." You are considerably safer - even as a vocal gun control proponent - among a crowd of armed, law-abiding gun owners than you are pretty much anywhere else in society.

Nope. We are angry. And sometimes leaders need to show that they understand that and can represent it. Ripping up papers hardly seems the equivalent of giving Limbaugh the Presid Medal of Freedom. Another gross dog whistle. We are angry! Pelosi, for 15 seconds, was all of us.

They have a more conducive messaging machine. The Republicans have always chosen lock step. Where the Democrats biggest problem is that we are all unique rainbows and we pass the talking stick around giving everyone a chance to say feelings.
