I totally understand not showing up for the speech; I totally understand walking out on the speech; I totally understand ripping up the speech. I have those feelings too. But none of those things will help us win in 2020. All of them will turn off voters we need if we’re to win.

Although I kind of appreciate Bill Maher's point last weekend on fighting fire with fire in "Do the wrong thing" youtube.com/c5jkYN_wG7c

Very childish and not helpful. Stay classy. Have a handshake. Be the adult in the room. We need not more divideness. WRONG.

What would we be talking about today, if The Speaker took the high road and hugged The President after his speech, instead of ripping up her copy. And what if the President took the high road and touched his heart while shaking The Speakers hand, instead of not shaking it. UNITY!

You are mistaken. People who are oppressed, which in America now that's 75% of us, need to see their leaders STANDING UP TO THE OPPRESSOR! Meekly being "polite" just tacitly approves of the oppressor's actions. Did you hear his lies? We needed to see her do something like that!

You totally understand all those disrespectful things but you also say none of that will help democrats win. So you are admitting your party has lost the voters.

I've always admired your insight. What do you see as the best way to move forward that does not sacrifice principles and also balances politics?
