A country that can afford a $738 billion defense budget but will not ensure its school children a more healthy diet is a country whose moral values are spiraling down and whose future health care costs will be spiraling up.

Take a stand for higher nutritional standards for America’s school lunches. Otherwise the standards are being lowered, and the health and productivity of our children will suffer. Email feedback@usda.gov.

I don’t buy it. This is a country that abolished slavery, gave women the right to vote, and dismantled segregation. This is not the first time we’ve had to fight off evil and challenge injustice. Cynicism is just an excuse for not helping.

So many take the easy way out, fast food, crap food. I was fortunate to be raised by parents that were raised on farms 😍 We ate 3 excellent meals & snacks everyday, filled with nutrition & yummy goodness. I raised my family the same & they are raising their family the same🍅🥕🥦
