The circular firing squad so endemic to the Left is deeply destructive, leaving us battered and weakened before the Right even takes a shot. Nothing plays into the hands of our opponents more than our viciousness towards one another.

According to Gandhi’s philosophy of nonviolence, the end is inherent in the means. If we’re hateful to each other now, we’re not going to be able to all come together in some kumbaya effort once the nominee is chosen. Anger weakens us.We can practice respectful disagreement now.

If your "philosophy" doesn't include truth, honesty and integrity you can keep. In that case you have no authority to come here and talk about "coming together in some kumbaya effort". There is no kumbaya.

Which is why the state is destructive. The state operates through a monopoly on violence. Must develop a society and culture based on voluntary cooperation and non-coercion to maximize peace.

Perfectly said and so accurate. Anger isn't the answer. We need to all come together. ❤️❤️❤️

Just told friends on FB how this is so f***ing true. GOP operatives know this, and relish it. They say Dems fall in - and out - of love GOPS fall in line. We need to learn from them. Then master the art of doing BOTH.

Hatred may always = anger but anger doesn't always have to = hatred. Not sure if Gandhi hated the British colonialist empire/I'm pretty sure his actions were motivated by his anger when seeing his fellow countrymen subjugated by British power. Sometimes you have to take a stand.

Marianne, we can calmly whisper or we can scream, Please Help US. Please join the peaceful revolution which Bernie has been leading for 40 years. Who else has done as much as him? We are asking for your help. Why won't you? What is wrong with his policies?

This is an important point but must be balanced by calling out the reality of what happened between Sanders & Warren. That reality cannot and should not be glossed over. The latest episode of @MMFlint’s ”Rumble” podcast strikes this balance perfectly. Please listen to it, y’all.

We aren't standing by and letting them take Bernie down. We are fighting for out lives. Stop patronizing those of us who refuse to excuse bad behavior anymore. Warren needs to set this straight, until then there will be no "kumbaya" because we aren't looking for it.
