There were good reasons to invade Iraq that everyone seems to forget. Saddam refused to let U.N. inspectors in repeatedly. When they were allowed in they were not given free access to suspected nuclear sites. This went on for two years. Germany, Britain, France, Russia all .....

We also can't forget that in 1954 America backed a coup to overthrow a democratically elected Marxist leaning government to put in place the autocratic Shah. Similar to Qaddafi he made many good reforms but also committed atrocities. In 1979 Iran simply took its country back.
