The House has passed a bill establishing 6th branch of the US military: a Space Force. We are militarizing space! Yet nobody seems to be registering it much. No buzz. No real conversation. No real corporate media coverage. Our acquiescence is stunning. We’re. Militarizing. Space.

Militarizing space is illegal — signed & ratified treaty is binding law (US Constitution, Article VI, cl. 2) armscontrol.org/factsheets/o… Not sure what the #SpaceFarce will be able to do aside from funneling more $$ to defense contractors 🤬

You should look up how many satellites in orbit right now have military uses. You’d probably be amazed. Control over them is scattered between different branches. Coordinating them under the command of one branch makes good sense.

We are the ones who have to be loud. Militarizing Space and limiting food benefits for the poor, at Christmas. How did we the people let things get this out of hand. But much as in A.A., no one has ever slipped so far down the scale that they can not sober up. Time to make noise!
