Have you noticed how the term has been steadily shifting from “Defense Force” to “Military” ? This shift coincides with with the steady increase of the Militia style use of both our Defense and Police Force. Basic conditioning .

Yeah...this really just elevates the existing Space Command to a separate branch. The US military has long relied on space-borne assets like reconnaissance satellites, communications satellites, and the Global Positioning System.
