The Trump administration now cutting food stamps for the poorest of the poor, after having passed a $2T tax cut for the richest of the rich. Is this what we have become as a country? We cannot be great if we are not good.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes…

The Government isn't supposed to be our Nanny. There are MANY wonderful food banks and charities out there to fill the gap. The food stamp system is abused and needs culled.

No amount of private charity can compensate for a lack of social justice. I’ve run a non-denominational church as well as nonprofits. No, churches & nonprofits cannot be left to clean up all the mess created by politicians serving corporate wealth at the expense of our citizens.

No one said ALL the mess. So, let's see...you are saying the government created a horrific mess and WE are supposed to trust THEM to fix it? The same entity that created it? What a riot! Anything they touch goes to hell. Individuals can fix this once the Government butts out.
This is absolutely true! Whether or not these programs are being abused or whether there are others programs that can maybe help, you can not take away peoples’ life lines and hope they will make it somehow. This is unjust...Desperate people do desperate things. We are in despair
Our family was forced to decrease our charitable cash donations due to exorbitant ACA premiums and outrageous deductibles. We consider that our charity now - at least some needy have health insurance now.
