Wherever there are large groups of desperate people, societal dysfunction is almost inevitable. Desperate people do desperate things. That’s why ameliorating unnecessary human suffering should be the highest governmental priority. Loving each other isn’t just good; it’s strategy.

The United States is a weak nation, due in no small part to how vile its people treat each other.

Ameliorating unnecessary human suffering is our mode of operations. I see a an actual future where we help each other out. That is a radical concept, Marianne Williamson is disrupting fundamental patterns. GOOD!!!

I think it’s the other way around. Societal dysfunction makes large groups of desperate people. Prevention is infinitely easier than alleviation, although we need lots of both of those things.

One of our challenges in the USA is we don't have real poverty. It so case where the far left has made people resentful of each other, at high levels on the hierarchy of needs. People are demand more felt needs that substantial needs.

Totally! addressing adversity proactively is compassionate and cost effective. We ignore suffering until it becomes extreme trauma. I run a Trauma Informed Educator program and hear from educators across the country about how deep the impact is. Inexcusable in the US.
