It may not be popular but larger corporations can handle the downturn in farming better than the individual small farm. I never want to lose the small farm. But realistically farming is like gambling there’s lots of hope. Sometimes you lose.

Those large corporations are what caused the downturn in farming. They have devastated the lives of farmers, they have devastated the land, they have devastated the food, they have devastated animals and contaminated our water. But you think they’re the ones to fix it huh?

Marianne, the USDA has statistics on farming easily available on line. 96% US Farms family owned. 88% of land family farm owned. 48% make less than $350,000.00-40% over $1,000,000.00. That means family farms are doing the environmental damage. Please show me where I’m wrong.
