The point isn’t only to make college tuition free or remove the college loan debt. The point is WHY we should do it. We should do it because it lifts the bar on what’s possible for people. The more people are able to live their dreams, the more peace and prosperity there will be.

If that is the case then perhaps price controls for professor wages may need to be implemented. If left uncontrolled they will spiral upward because the government is seen as a giant sugar daddy.

This Judeo-Christian/Capitalistic belief that we cannot thrive unless through suffering 1st is a problem. All we need to do is restructure our current budgetary allowances and that would lessen increased, if any, tax burden. The govt should run on a finite budget like we do.

Wouldn’t encourage young ppl go to college just to have some fun for 5-6 yrs and get a useless degree on our dime? What about young ppl who go to trade schools? What will you give them? I have a college degree, but I don’t believe everybody wants or should go to college.

Let’s not forget about the 2/3 of Americans who haven’t been to college and who generally make less than those who do.

Yes, @marwilliamson I agree with you wholeheartedly. I also think you are on that herb too. Both can be true.
