With two billionaires (both nice people, actually) spending tens of millions of dollars on TV ads, it’s time for Americans to ask whether we think the presidency should be so easily bought. If this assault on our democracy doesn’t call for a non-violent revolution then what does?

Even violent doesn't sound too bad at this point.

We must stop people from assaulting us. We cannot allow them to spend their own money however they so choose. This is an outrage!

In this extreme dire time when there is a possibility that Trump can win in 2020 If these billionaires are here to defend the constitution/Americans & can beat Trump, then I am in. When the Dems have control we write new election rules. Unfortunately, this is an emergency.

Trump didn't give me any cash.
I hope they realize they're just wasting away money that could be better spent into a trust fund for America to give away to every American citizen over 18 that makes less than $80,000 a year when they die. That's what I would do if I was as rich as Bloomberg or Steyer.

You’re calling Trump a nice guy?! 😳. Ironic that politicians that complain about big money in politics, getting favors, etc. have to raise and spend big money to have a better chance of being elected. Term limits & spending are needed. Limited ads too.

Well, I don’t vote based upon soundbites in commercials, so they can spend all they want to, they still can’t buy the office with my vote. That’s my two-cents worth.

Does anybody remember when Obama and McCain ran with both pledging to support McCain/Feingold campaign finance reform? So only an allotted amount for each candidate. Obama refused at the end to honor his pledge citing the need to raise millions to win.

Please cite the non violent revolution you think we should mirror and explain why..

We don't need to revolt against 'the system'. We just need to start thinking for ourselves, instead of following whatever panicky headline appears this week. If we do that, we solve a lot of problems. If we don't, we're in trouble... regardless of who runs the government.
