Immoral and unjust to base educational funding on property taxes, leaving financially advantaged children with good chance of high quality public education and financially disadvantaged children with less high quality one. This needs to change. marianne2020.com/issues/plan…

Everybody has a different idea of what a quality education is. I think the school of life is more important than gym class. Art class. Music class. Those are things you learn at home. Kids waste way to much time at school

Charter schools give low income families an option. Here in NYS, we monitor charter operations and finances and academics. It’s tough work, but improves equity. For self-serving reasons, many electeds trash the model. Politics at worst.

Dude, have you seen Democrat run districts? That's the norm!

In part, I agree. But creating a whole new federal agency is the LAST thing we need. What's needed is school vouchers equivalent to the cost of sending a child to school and introducing healthy competition among districts. Bad schools will have to improve or go broke.

Funny, I read your whole proposition and I didn't see a single ballpark price tag. Could you please revise your proposal and include it and how you will pay for it?

I agree. Abolish government taxpayer funded schools. Problem solved.
