For those of you who saw Democratic candidates speaking from Iowa yesterday at the “Liberty and Justice for All” event, just know that it cost $160,000 to be on the stage.

Who was it that called this "the best democracy money can buy"? Thanks for speaking up about the corruption endemic in the system.

Stating how much it costs is being transparent- not bashing. I’m sure pacs or ActBlue pays for some

u have millions of followers...your campaign holds big debt...take the hint...followers do not translate into supporters...ur tweet is deceptive as to the truth of the situation...shame on you...another reason u are unfit for the office you seek..ur divisive rhetoric is pathetic.

#DeptofChildrenandYouth #Missouri4Marianne #Marianne2020 Hearing all candidates is every voters right. The media and organizations like this are impeding democracy.

What about all the PPL who joined that debate. @BernieSanders had a watch party, which was great energy for them. Also cheaper I think? Strange evening. All the noise and yelling. Politics is no sport. #USA should organise their campaign differently.

I could imagine a scenario where PBS runs all these events, and each #presidentialcandidate easily raised $160,000 (in a nation of 300 million people), since the #PrimarySeason candidates had all had fair air time, and each $160,000 was applied/awarded to winning public service.
