When healthcare & tuition at free state colleges & universities is free, & the college loan debt is completely cancelled, it will be a massive infusion of economic hope & opportunity plus the removal of chronic stress & anxiety from the lives of millions. That’s what govt is FOR

The American people have been mentally trained to expect too little, to ask “Pretty please” for things which their own taxes should be paying for. Let’s free ourselves of the illusion that it’s good economics to transfer huge amounts of wealth into the hands of just a few people

Repeal the 2017 $2T tax cut. Put back in the middle class cut. Stop corporate subsidies. Let govt negotiate w/ big Pharma to reduce drug prices. Limit military spending to what the military says they need, not what defense contractors say they just want. EW correct on wealth tax.

Our govt does more to advocate for the ability of those who already have a lot to get even more, and harder for those who do not have any to even make it at all. We must shift from an economic to humanitarian bottom line, to improve both the state of our economy and our humanity

Americans aren’t subdued by guns or even by bad laws. We’re subdued by MindFog. By the purposely created illusion that things are more complicated than they actually are. By the obscene suggestion that there’s something more important than doing right by the people of the world.

Please tell me how it will be free. Are the doctors donating their time? Are the teachers now volunteers? All the medicine and textbooks, donated? Please explain FREE. And don’t lie.

So do those of us who paid our college loans get reimbursed too or are we just fools for paying our debt?

Obamacare was rammed down America's throat as the 'fix-all' for healthcare, even though many of us pleaded with lawmakers not to pass it, telling government that it wouldn't work. As a result, health insurance is now MUCH more expensive. I can't wait until it's free.

Hey let’s do mortgage debt too! Oh and all medical debt! Think of how much “economic hope” you could bring by cancelling all debt! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Why not just cancel all debt? Stop all stress. These students knew they were taking on debt to better their lives. Paying off debt is about being a responsible adult. Expecting things for free is the democratic way now

Gov't doesn't pay for them. The hard working tax payers do! Canceling debt is NOT fair to those who paid them off. Make it more reasonable terms with little or no interest, but to put the burden on the tax payers to payoff people's debt is NOT democratic.

Thank you Marianne! We need to #CancelStudentDebt bc when Wall St crashed the economy, we bailed them out. It's time for them to help us. Especially bc they've been gambling with our student debt for decades! If they don't comply, we #StudentDebtStrike! opendemocracy.net/en/ourecon…

There is a direct relationship in Big U between increased tuition and college loan debt. Hey Mariannne, instead of taxpayer relief, how about using University endowments to provide the means to pay off college loan debt.
