The debates are essentially a reality TV show in which the DNC partners with corporate media to choose & exalt the candidates they feel should be in the running. It is an incestuous insider game, perhaps well intentioned on the part of its perpetrators but poisonous to democracy.

I think party platforms and work matter and I think the Dems best the GOP's hands down. Some of us have worked our butts off creating those ideals. I'm tired of hearing the party trashed. Critique is great. Not obliteration! Dems self-implosion!

It’s not them: it’s you. You can sound very smart and capable, but then you veer off into that new agey weirdness and voters dismiss you as a viable candidate.
