The debates are essentially a reality TV show in which the DNC partners with corporate media to choose & exalt the candidates they feel should be in the running. It is an incestuous insider game, perhaps well intentioned on the part of its perpetrators but poisonous to democracy.

The more you poop on the news media the more they'll rag on you. By Springtime 2020 you'll be calling them "the enemy of the people". And the news media deserves to be pooped on. Keep it up.

League of Women Voters and nonpartisan groups like that used to run the debates. The parties should not be the sponsors and the networks don't need to make more money. lwv.org/league-women-voters-…

Agreed!!! I am really dismayed at the process of “narrowing the field” when this is a primary people!!! The polling is skewed. Marianne’s name is left off more times than not. The DNC is owned by corporations.

Or, you're polling at 0%. It's not the DNC who did that. It's the American voters who made the call not to support your run for president. Please respect that instead of trying to damage our democracy by sowing doubt and distrust. The Russians do enough of that already.
