The debates are essentially a reality TV show in which the DNC partners with corporate media to choose & exalt the candidates they feel should be in the running. It is an incestuous insider game, perhaps well intentioned on the part of its perpetrators but poisonous to democracy.

Love that you referenced incest. So much inner love in the DNC. Love.

Yes, this is a complex societal problem. Everything from news to politics is run like reality TV game show. Over-sensationalized. We watch the extreme & wealthy on popular TV shows (including all the negative traits of culture) then try to mimic them in real life. HUGE issue.

Sometimes it’s best to use the 5 minutes of your life it takes angry tweeting to do breathing exercise instead... 🤷🏻‍♀️

What if Fox news ran a debate style event for those not on the stage? The DNC does not want either of them.

This sounds like sour grapes. You had your shot Marianne. The DNC has been too generous in their qualifying standards. We should be down to the top five candidates by now.

It's not well intentioned. And the media frames the debates and issues from biased assumptions, protecting the status quo establishment.

You had 10 MONTHS to qualify for THEIR debates, Marianne. The ONLY reason you are not included in them is you. You are not a victim & there is no conspiracy. Stop misinforming, misleading & using voters for your now nonexistent “campaign”. THAT is a violation to our Democracy

How about The League of Women Voters running the debates over all televisual outlets. They did this successfully until both parties privatized the debates and sold the package to media.
