We need a WW2 level mass mobilization in order to reverse climate change, enrolling every segment of American society in answering the greatest moral and scientific challenge of our time.

Uh, no we don't. That would be a disaster for the living standards of everyone in the US, and the estimated benefits would not compensate for that, even using the UN's own numbers and predictions. Even carbon markets have been a disaster (except for Al Gore of course)
