The military has more than 130 bands with more than 6000 musicians, costing about a half-billion dollars a year. Meanwhile the National Endowment for the Arts gets $155M, a paltry amount compared to other advanced democracies. Arts & artists should be robustly funded & supported!

Ok. Put them on a government salary, but all admissions to performances go to the government and they cannot sell anything at a profit. Sesame Street would have to terminate all their Elmo sales or turn them over to the govt due to the subsidy they receive. Deal?

Mrs. Williamson, We're pulling Our Troops home and that'll free up fund$. Bring this up to @realDonaldTrump. - Since I don't see ANY Dem BEING Presidential, this is what a TRUE leader would do...blindfolded. Act as a Leader to be a Leader. Risk getting criticized for free press.

- Is it about the money? - The government doesn't need to "Federalize Arts", because if you gets "funds" 2-3 times its current generating costs...guess what, it's "ran by Gov". No, if We like it, We fund it. - Maybe restructure, (idk).

Are the artists prepared to go to war? Just shut up.

I support your efforts to encourage artists to join the military and then funnel NEA funds into the military to help pay for their work. There are certainly lots of missed opportunities for military themed art works that we tax payers could be funding.

Maybe NEA members should just join the military.
