While the vast majority of police officers in this country are good men and women courageously serving us every single day, police shootings of innocent citizens - particularly black Americans - has reached intolerable numbers. A special Independent Commission must now be formed.

100 percent agree. And underneath any act of violence remains the question why are we violent. What are we teaching our children—and has morality been left out of too many a curriculum. I support @marwilliamson #Marianne2020 🌱

WE hope the newly formed commission will address officer appearance, especially they are within public: %

Here, I’ll save you time. 1) There is a some material number of racists within the ranks. 2) an independent background check on all, and then on-going checks. 3) increase % of poc within the ranks, and 4) racial sensitivity training sessions x/year.

When you only have one tool in your belt, guess what gets reached for. They need to have UK police train our police.

What was 'tolerable?' This is the kind of sloppy thinking that perpetuates the problem.

This is controversial and courageous. I did read about the KKK in the police force.

There is something terribly wrong with their training academy and screening process. I am proud of the fair officers (and mayor) in Rochester Hills but sadly this isn’t the case everywhere.
