Economic system of the US was created & designed before women had a voice in the public realm. We do have a voice now; it’s important that we use it not to fit into the system but to change the system. The main engine of our economy should be the care & nurturance of our children

Bear in mind that the 2 basic instincts are individual survival and species survival. The two fundamental emotions that the human brain uses to achieve these instincts are love and hate. Nurturing children goes to the second instinct and is accomplished through love.

Our first priority is our children! If we don’t protect them, then what does it say about us... We need to help the traumatized, the hungry, the disabled. Don’t look down to judge, Look down to bring them back up!! I have a situation with a student who is going to be tossed away

Thank you @marwilliamson! I agree re: focus on care & nurturance of children. I support your reparations proposal. I’m currently reading a book on history of white women in slavery & I think we must learn & attend to our rarely discussed historical role in US economic system too.
