Before this trickle-down economics theory took hold of our society the way it did, corrupting our government and so corrupting our entire moral value system, before that, the American corporation - can you imagine this? - was expected to care.

Every pension and 401k, etc., success has ties to some form of corporatism. 1986ish turning point and the capitalist system worked for billions, but the experiment hasn’t worked for all. Flaws, cracks, greed, engineered recessions, no stop loss on investments, trickles down.

While we're at it, what about "deficit spending?"

Trickle down is an attack term, not an economic theory. Study the Austrian school Auntie and come to the light side of voluntarism.

That’s not what caused this. Defunding social services (SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, Section 8 etc) is what has allowed this. Americans DO care. Working entirely for nonprofits, I can attest to that. We need better social services
