I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

I was with you until you used the term "overly secularized left." I'm a spiritual person and I don't believe in mocking others, but the left chooses not to mix church and state. This protects both church AND state. We also can't replace policy with prayer.

A spiritual perspective is simply the path of the heart. It has nothing to do with the separation of church and state.

Prayer and spirituality are functionally religious actions. That is why things like school prayer were struck down as unconstitutional. The fact that you do not understand this, amongst other basic facts about governance, makes you as fit for office as the current occupant.

Put it that way, and don't tell people that they they have psychic powers that they don't possess.

Marianne, how can you judge what people believe? I’m clearly disappointed in you now.

In so far as the action is personal you are correct. When it becomes the default action by politicians (thoughts and prayers) you are incorrect. Believe, don't believe, whatever brings you comfort. Don't pretend that belief is a substitute for action.

The path to the heart is called circulation. A spiritual perspective is the way to a fully opened mind- only because all perspectives (including scientific, ethical, and spiritual) must be accounted for. Still, scientific knowledge and secularism must take priority in a society.

Thanks for sharing. What is spirituality
That is the sort of oatmeal headed twaddle that leads people to steam their vaginas. And I'm saying nothing against genuine spirituality, just mindless consumer-driven goop.
You are talking about prayers, I think that has something to do with church
