I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

I was with you until you used the term "overly secularized left." I'm a spiritual person and I don't believe in mocking others, but the left chooses not to mix church and state. This protects both church AND state. We also can't replace policy with prayer.

A spiritual perspective is simply the path of the heart. It has nothing to do with the separation of church and state.

Spirituality and science can co-exist together, it's religious bias and bigotry that has no business in politics. It's the overly secular right that preaches how you should think an act, all the while ignoring spiritual life. That kind of religious dogma has no place in politics.
But taking an oath to uphold the Constitution has a lot to do with the separation of church and state. You don’t seem to think it’s important. I don’t want a president who is “simply” following the path of the heart.
There no such thing as a spiritual perspective
It does when our Representatives impose THEIR "spiritual" beliefs onto to those that don't have the same beliefs and make them policy and laws.
People in America have the right to believe or not believe as their own spirit leads them as long as it does not interfere with their countrymen’s right to believe or not.
Of course it does - especially when you are running for POTUS.
You know, you wrote your original tweet while people were dying in the Bahamas. If prayers can move storms, why didn't you pray for them? Does God reward only praying for "one's own?"
Spiritualism is based in faith. Just because it lacks an official institution doesn't negate that.
