I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

When I was growing up there was a vital religious Left. It is BECAUSE of my spiritual views that I’m a Democrat. The idea that religious or spiritual people should find no home in the Democratic Party is hardly the view of someone wanting to win in 2020.

I just don’t understand why your comments seem to necessitate a divide between party and religion. I also don’t know any of my religious friends who believe prayers will alter the path of a storm.

There still is a vital religious left. They just believe in science too. #youcantmovehurricaneswithyourmind

How could we find a home there? The word "god" was removed from the DNC platform. The DNC supports abortion at any time for any reason. They try to force religious people to go against their beliefs. They belittle prayer all the time, in public. They're openly anti-Semitic.

I don't think that is what people are saying. Big tent remember?? Chill..

Yeeeeaahawww let’s believe you can pray away a #hurricane or any other natural disasters! Or maybe just throw a bomb in it! Mmmmmoookaaa🙄

There is a vibrant religious left. They just don’t go around proffering their religious views on everybody. And they don’t think prayers are magic spells or a substitute for government policy.

"Religious" and "Spiritual" have two different meanings, totally different. One can be spiritual and not "religious" in your sense of the word. We don't need another provocateur anywhere near the WH. Bye, bye Felicia.

Sorry @marwilliamson but spirituality and religion have nothing to do with each other. One is the Supreme Being the other is man-made & fraught with mind control, lots of misogyny and special interests. Pray, meditate and hope for miracles if you wish but leave religion out of it

Have you actually read the Holy Bible? I suspect your spiritual views would be in contradiction to much of the text in that horrible mess of text. Most preachers tend to just talk about the good stuff or spin the bad stuff as a lesson for good. The obviously bad is skipped over.

Exactly why church and state should remain separate. Escaping religion is the reason people left England and came to the US soon after it’s discovery.
