I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

When I was growing up there was a vital religious Left. It is BECAUSE of my spiritual views that I’m a Democrat. The idea that religious or spiritual people should find no home in the Democratic Party is hardly the view of someone wanting to win in 2020.

There are millions of religious in Democrat party Marianne, however it’s a basic acknowledgment of progressives & Democrats to keep religion & state separate PERIOD! Pete Buttigieg addressed well, proclaiming his faith, while acknowledging his duty to keep it out of government!

Sorry, if you don’t believe in the separation of church and state you’re no Democrat. People can pray all they want and I will never mock them for it but when you start thinking your prayers should be part of govt policy I have to turn my back on you.

Please stop! Just. Please. Stop. God doesn’t have a hand in the weather. God doesn’t have a plan for everything. I believe in God to help me find the strength and wisdom to go forward with my life. God doesn’t show the was, he helps me when I make my choice. He doesn’t 🛑 stormes

You do know that many...the majority of Democrats actually, consider themselves Christians, right marianne? The difference between them and right-wing christians is that the left doesn’t try to shove their religious views or beliefs down everyone else’s throats.

The middle ages called - they want their myths back.
So-called religious people have ruined “God” in the minds of many since your youth in Texas. “God” has become divisive, a symbol of anti-science & backwards-thinking. It’s sad but true.

The idea is that the religious right like writing of tragedies by offering their thoughts and prayers. When the same level of caring is returned to them they whine.

It's not the religious part that we aren't buying it's the kookie mystic part.
