I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

The most preposterous notion that man has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation,  Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. -R.A.H.

So confess, Marianne. You decided to run because of your lagging book sales. No one cared about you anymore. So following in the steps of trump, you are trying to monetize a run at the presidency. Used to like you. But your behavior has proven you are just a grifter.

🙄🙄🙄 We can walk and chew gum, thanks. Or perhaps pray and GTFO the way of a hurricane. 🤷‍♂️

How can you have an "overly secularized Left" in a system which supposedly has a separation of Church and State?

So if the hurricane does hit land then shame on those people for not praying enough?

The problem is, about a quarter of the party has a new religion, and it’s the religion of Bernie Sanders. The human being.

Because it's not based in reality. Teaching people that the way to solve any problem is by "thinking" it away is... Wrong. People having that same view towards issues like climate change or gun violence or disease etc is how we end up not actually doing anything

Sweetie, if the magical power of thought was all it took to make things happen, we’d already have this! #areyouserious #crazy #thoughtsandprayers

You don't owe anyone any explanations. 70% of this country is faithful. The reaction to you tweet. Only shows a part that we have lost.

Uh-uh. Two hands working accomplish more than a thousand clasped in prayer. The sooner humans leave their myths and beliefs in supernatural beings in the dust bin of history, the better off we will all be. Prayer should not be encouraged, it should be ridiculed.
