I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

Whether you acknowledge it or not, You're on the wrong side, Marianne. The Democratic Party you once knew no longer exists and giving it energy by pushing its agenda makes you part of the dark forces that have consumed it.

Sweet lord!! I’m a recovering Republican voting on the democratic ticket. You are calling us “overly secularized left” which is a bold statement who believes “thoughts” can move a hurricane??!!! I hope you don’t make it because I really don’t want to vote for you. 😒

You seem like a very nice person and I’m sorry you were treated this way. Hopefully, you now understand what we on the right have been experiencing these many, many years. The tolerant left is anything but, unfortunately.

All politics aside, it's pretty hard to make fun of people for wanting to help others regardless of their methods. Prayer and meditation are far more powerful than your average leftist can comprehend. This is why they fail.

you are great. I AM VOTING FOR YOU
Well said Marianne. I hope your fellow Democrats listen to you. They sure aren’t listening to us.

Why give negative people any attention? I'm part of the "secularized Left" and I don't mock people praying for things. Now if praying became part of the official government response then I'd speak up - but people making jokes on the internet? Zzz

I think this world is a lot more mysterious than we can understand and I agree that the Left loses credibility and voters by mocking those who think they may not know everything if they look only through a material lens.
