I was born and raised in Texas so I’ve seen it. Millions of people today are praying that Dorian turn away from land, and treating those people with mockery or condescension because they believe it could help is part of how the overly secularized Left has lost lots of voters.

When I was growing up there was a vital religious Left. It is BECAUSE of my spiritual views that I’m a Democrat. The idea that religious or spiritual people should find no home in the Democratic Party is hardly the view of someone wanting to win in 2020.

I was with you until you used the term "overly secularized left." I'm a spiritual person and I don't believe in mocking others, but the left chooses not to mix church and state. This protects both church AND state. We also can't replace policy with prayer.

A spiritual perspective is simply the path of the heart. It has nothing to do with the separation of church and state.

It is extremely frustrating, Marianne, when prayer is so often upheld as a solution to real-world issues when prayer itself hasn’t been verified to solve ANYTHING. Its “effects” all come from anecdotal incidents. People have a right to pray, but you CANNOT say it is a remedy.

ACIM... ...shoot for at-one-ness @marwilliamson Start by opening heart to #MAGA wearing “deplorable” Americans who want to make America better... Change perspective and a Miracle will occur... There is incredible Love and Acceptance In #KAG especially “Black and Brown” @POTUS

This is exactly why I can't support your candidacy, I was born in Alabama and I want to see less prayers and more secularization. You don't have to be "spiritual" or believe in God to be a humanist. Please stop saying critics are part of patriarcial cabal against you.

Theres nothing wrong with people praying but its wrong to shove religion onto others & shame people for NOT praying It is counterproductive dangerous destructive to attack the left because we disagree with U while the right wing destroys our rights & jeopardizes all of humanity

Hey everyone shitting on prayer. All you’re doing is revealing that YOU dont know anything about prayer. Religious people do not teach to JUST pray. Never have i heard a lesson on prayer that didn’t also include pairing it with action and BEING the answer to others prayers.
