Our establishment politics is run by elites within elites. DNC poll requirements are a perfect example, a situation with no transparency but with power to block candidates not anointed by a gatekeeper class. In America there should be no gatekeepers; only the people should decide

no, she's wrong about it, and i'm saddened you would agree with her. you didn't meet the established criteria. the rules are the rules, and they were not a secret. if you don't like them, don't run.

Wait. Let me understand this. I thought the rules were written by the Founders, who wrote into the Constitution who is qualified to be president. You think the DNC should "rule" this? I think not. It isn't about Tulsi or me or anyone else; it's about our democracy.#notanother2016

The rules of the Founders have nothing to do with political parties. They really hoped that there wouldn't be any. These rules began evolving a century later in the Progressive Era. Each party makes its own. If you want to be a Democrat spend some time learning how it works.

If you don't like the rules, don't run as a Democrat. Political parties are free to make up their own rules, and these rules are quite fair. Founders probably should have planned for political parties, but did not.
Nobody wants you. Having you on that stage would waste valuable time. Something about which you know nothing.

If you think the Constitution specifies qualifications for participation in a debate sponsored by a political party, then maybe you shouldn’t run for prez. We don’t need another a president who doesn’t know what is in the Constitution. Bye Felicia.
Oh good lord. Educate yourself

Not a helpful hashtag. Please don't screw us all over by starting a divisive tantrum. I'd like to flip everything blue before we start discussing DNC policy reform. #VoteBlue2020

The DNC does not get to decide who is President. The voters do. The DNC gets to decide who they want to support for President. If you can only get support from more than 2% of the voters - why should the DNC be forced to support you?

You're still allowed to run, you just didn't qualify for the debate stage. As a voter, 20 people on stage is ridiculous. The 2% support threshold is appropriate. The field needs to be winnowed down to a number that makes sense and can reach the electorate.

YOU agreed to the DNCs rules. You and Tulsi will get Trump elected. Or maybe that was the plan from the beginning.
