We need to repeal the 2017 $2T tax cut which gave $.83 of every dollar to the very richest corporations &individuals, put back in the middle-class tax cuts, stop the absurd corporate subsidies ($26B to fossil fuel companies???), limit military spending to what the military needs.

We need to tax assets of $1B at 3%, $50M at 2%. Then having returned to the public coffers the ridiculous transfer of wealth that we have made in this country into the hands of a few over the last 40 years, we will go about the work of healing our country. Marianne2020.com

Assets create jobs. Some assets (buildings, land, machines) aren't liquid and have to be sold to pay taxes. Bank accounts, stocks, bonds secure loans to create jobs. Taxing assets will cost jobs and slow the economy. This is the opposite of desired outcomes

Please just stick to teaching spirituality. I so can't read your books anymore.
Will the Golden Unicorn sprinkle joy and love over all the land? And we will all live together in peace and happiness forever after? We won't compromise with people who hate our country, including you. Beat it.

That will transfer wealth right out of the country. Bankers in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands would love an American wealth tax.

Ms. Williamson, does your campaign have any view on Modern Monetary Theory as a lens through which to finance ambitious progressive proposals?

Libertarians, like Dr. Ben Carson, argue deceitfully that reparations should not be paid by thieves, war profiteers, and everyone else in the superelite class of sociopaths that have never paid their fair share in taxes. "That would be class warfare."
