The Amazon burning is a reminder of humanity’s pathological irreverence toward the earth, a self-destructive dysfunction from which we will heal or possibly not even survive as a species. This is more than a climate crisis; it is a survival crisis, and it should be seen as such.

Like all other issues confronting us the climate crisis is a moral crisis. Humanity is at a crossroads: we need to choose between a system that allows greed to run rampant over the survival needs of the species, or a state of consciousness where such a thing would be unthinkable.

Our ability to take in the horror of what is happening environmentally & summon the courage to do something about it will determine the most critical choice in humanity’s history: whether to continue the journey of evolution or through our own selfishness & greed elect to end it.

Oh, but the burning of the Notre Dame cathedral (which was built on the backs of peasants) got coverage 24/7 for several days in a row. 😏

Between your opposition to BDS & your establishment talking points on Afghanistan (that will keep the U.S. military there in perpetuity), you have burnt up your credibility to speak on the big foreign policy issues.

The Greenland bid is a piece of Trump's role in a criminal international oligarchy. Climate change will open up new oil fields and mineral deposits there, and as Robert Mueller pointed out in a speech to the FBI in 2011, cornering resources is the future of international crime:

It is incredibly important to recognize that this is happening due to fascist president Bolsonaro allowing farmers to intentionally deforest land for cattle ranching. For profit. Capitalism breeds exploitation of both people and the earth. Don’t just pray, organize.

Once we shift our orientation to the entire physical world away from exploitation to stewardship, we might save ourselves. The planet done not need saving. We do.

The moral crisis comes to the point of how we should interfere to protect a country's autonomy over their own natural resources and not allowing vultures stirring up drama and moving public opinion so one could take it over.
