Unfettered capitalism, disconnected from a sense of moral & ethical responsibility to people & planet, has done & continues to do immeasurable damage. It will only be changed by an awakening of We the People. The political establishment that enabled the trend will not reverse it.

It’s not enough to reduce people’s suffering; we must challenge the underlying forces that make all that suffering inevitable. This will not be done by a political class tied to those forces in an unholy $ alliance, no matter how well-intentioned the individuals within it may be.

We need a fundamental disruption of our economic, social & political status quo. We need a non-violent revolution of the heart, a fierce repudiation of a heartless economic & political reality that has had its way with us for far too long & should have its way no longer.#bigtruth

Capitalism has been 'fettered" for a long long time. Regulations restrict EVERY aspect of business from start-up, hiring, sales, investment, taxation, retirement... There are 1000s of pages in the FederalRegister fettering capitalism, and that's not even including state laws.

Capitalism isn't disconnected from moral and ethical responsibility any more than socialism. Capitalism allows people to vote with their money, while socialism only provides one option.

I call our economic system #economicsociopathy. The way it is run, the way its adherents claim it should be run is exactly consistent with sociopathic behavior: self-interested, lacking compassion & remorse, elitism, dishonesty as a means to an end, & eager to hold all advantage.

"Unfettered." LOL In the real world, totally-unregulated free markets work surprisingly-well until statist control freaks manage to attack them. nautil.us/issue/55/trust/how… “The real secret of Silk Road is great customer service.”

There is a battle of two wolves inside each of us. One wolf is evil–it represents anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, lies, inferiority & ego. The other wolf is good–it represents joy, peace, love, hope humility, kindness, empathy & truth. The wolf that wins is the one you feed.
