At a certain point it isn’t about what happened; it’s about who we choose to be regarding what happened. Each of us must rise to the occasion now, committing to the electoral defeat of any politician who supports the NRA. Gun safety legislation must be the cry of our generation.

No, mental health needs to be addressed. Taking the gun away doesnt stop the sick or criminal. Without a gun, the shooter still would have found a way. He was beyond sick. You attacking the wrong source of the problem. You answers will solve nothing.
Like AJ John Paul Stevens, the late retired @Scotus assoc. justice, I advocate amending a few words of #2ndAMD's outdated language to reflect modern sensibilities. Only by clarifying the law can we expect to find Constitutional satisfaction on gun laws.

This looks like utter madness to us here in Australia. Every time... thoughts and prayers.... it’s not working.

Please make a specific suggestion that would have stopped shutting. Explain how it would stop shooting.

The nra is the largest organization devoted to gun safety. Irresponsible gun ownership by criminals and the mentally ill is the problem. Not the nra.
