So let’s state it again. I’m pro medicine. I’m pro science. I’ve never told anyone not to take medicine. I’ve never fat-shamed anyone. And today there’s a new one: no I don’t support Scientology. The machinery of mischaracterization is in high gear now. Gee, did I upset someone?

@marwilliamson Honestly your campaign fits perfectly with the Medicare For All proposal. You are running on campaign to heal the soul of America. Healing should be body and soul. Universal healthcare with no fees, Co-pays, deductibles, premiums etc will help so many people

It’s that one issue about telling people they can’t have private insurance. I have a problem with that one piece of it. I know all the arguments and I agree with them, actually. But I hesitate on that one thing. It’s a process. We have a while before I’m president:)

I'm a person who HAD really good private insurance and is now on a State insurance. 1. The quality of CARE MUST be equal. 2. We must change the PERCEPTION that those on universal coverage are less productive/lazy. 3. Reimbursement must be same for both options. 4. Equality issue

I live in Canada, pay nothing for drs visits, emerge visits, ultrasounds, ect.. and we also have private insurance that helps with prescriptions costs and holistic therapies like accupuncture, nutritional health and other extra costs. It can and should be done in the US.

Choice is democratic. The health insurance industry will be VERY different than it is now, which will be great. Look, the UK has the NHS & a small private health insurance industry. 10.5% of their pop opt for it yet that means 4 M people there have choice.

I went bankrupt with "good" private insurance. Even if some want to keep it for some reason they don't get to. Our employers choose our insurance for us. We have no choice right now.

I like this one .... keep up the momentum
Every candidate should thoroughly research health systems of other countries. UK, France, Canada, Australia, Germany. How do *they* make it work successfully? Then you can answer this question with knowledge.
Sweden, famous for its universal healthcare system, has private insurance available for those willing to pay. Most paid for by employers.

They can have private insurance on top if they want to pay somebody for something they can get for free
You actually have more choice with M4A because you won’t be denied certain doctors or procedures.
