Your perception of my beliefs is inaccurate. If I saw things the way you think I see them, I probably wouldn’t like me either. An actual reading of my books - not taking a sentence or two out of context in a way that can be used to ridicule me - reveals a very different picture.

You're not taking any responsibility for how your past utterances have harmed people nor are you explaining how your beliefs have changed. Your response is pure gaslighting.
Here for the ratio. If your words didn't mean what they say, then why have you spent decades writing and rewriting your ableist viewpoints and making millions of dollars off of them?

I actually bought books years ago but soon regretted it, realizing they caused harm to people who were sick, both mentally and physically. The worst was people with cancer and AIDS dying thinking they did something to make themselves sick and/or to not heal. Truly shameful. 1/2

I really wish you would have taken her critique to heart, instead of going on the defense here.

We don’t even need your books, your tweets speak volumes. Almost the entire disabled community on this site are against you, it’s far from just Imani’s perception of your beliefs.

@marwilliamson I find myself feeling physically ill when you start speaking. I started out thinking of you as a joke. But, your words are dangerous. You are just a voodoo witch trying to sell books & gain profit with your double speak, constant contradictions, & crazy speeches.

Then it’s on YOU to clarify what you mean. Release a comprehensive platform regarding healthcare (and in particular, folks with disabilities). SHOW US what you will do to be helpful, rather than harmful, to the conversation.
