1870 or 1880 census shows my ancestors didn't get 40 acres or a mule- #WhenAffirmativeActionWasWhite demonstrates that all the key programs passed during the New Deal and Fair Deal era of the 1930s and1940s were created in a deeply discriminatory manner. #IraKatznelson

Question is "how do we make things right and fair to taxpayers?" Let us not forget the Native Americans whose land was stolen & treaties broken. Many were also enslaved. Further, terrible economic disparities still exist for the NA. @ChrisCuomo @donlemon @andersoncooper

Take that money and fix their neighborhoods. Their schools, their homes, their damned social programs and means of safety. Fix the hospitals and the effing social mentality. Fix things. Checks won't fix the problem.
