The issue of gun safety, of course, is that the NRA has us in a chokehold. But so do the pharmaceutical companies, so do the health insurance companies, so do the fossil fuel companies and so do the defense contractors.

And none of this will change until we either pass a constitutional amendment or pass legislation that establishes public funding for federal campaigns.

But for politicians, including my fellow candidates, who themselves have taken tens of thousands--and in some cases--hundreds of thousands of dollars from these same corporate donors... #BigTruth #DemDebate

...to think that they now have the moral authority to say we're going to take them on, I don't think the Democratic Party should be surprised that so many Americans believe “yada, yada, yada.” #BigTruth #DemDebate

How does the “chokehold” you refer to have anything to do with gun safety? If you’re referring to how lobbyists are bribing politicians, what’s the connection to “gun safety?” I’m not seeing one. “The issue of gun safety, of course, is that the NRA has us in a chokehold.”

So do the public schools, so do the unions, so do the democratic party, so do the cities.
Just discovering this? It’s really old news. But thank you for adding another voice to our choir. Now, do you have actual ideas on how to walk this back?

Gov. Hickenlooper led the fight against the NRA in Colorado. Some legislators were recalled, and Hickenlooper lost much political capital. 🖥 youtube.com/Q1mff6hSb9s ❤️✌🏼— much love and respect to you Ms. Williamson. Thank you for being so *real.

M, We don't have a gun safety problem; we have a male suicide and dad deprived boys problem. Who is stopping attention & action on that front? Who is blocking attention on how bad govt policies contribute to those problems?
