Economic theory empowered by the United States government over the last 40 years has brought us to where we are. Given that 1% of Americans own more wealth than the bottom 90%, little that it offers should necessarily be used to guide us now.

A new century should be guided by completely different economic thinking. These factors source money: education of children, & psychological, emotional & physical thriving of adults. Anything that develops the brain of a child or unleashes the spirit of an adult fuels prosperity.

Any company that provides widely accepted products and services will benefit both the top 1% and the bottom 99%, be it cell phones, vehicles, transportation, restaurants, entertainment, social media, newspapers, radio, TV you name it. Any other system is artificial and contrived

Well, let’s start w focusing on ‘creative accounting’ practices, tax loopholes, tax rates etc. w the objective that EVERYONE pays their fair share of taxes! Oh, & dramatically increase the penalties for white collar crime, esp. in govt., the legal profession & Wall St!

I'd rather be in the 90% in the country, than in the 1% of 90% of other countries. It's a sad byproduct of human evolution that most would rather be making 50k surrounded by people making 40k, rather than make 90k when others would make 100k.

True, but the system we now have is better than the alternative economic systems. Any system is defined by the moral character of the people in the system. Laws and rules cannot change the corruption and greed found in the human heart.
