Completely, horribly, almost unbelievably true. Many people who are very savvy about abusers and sociopaths when it comes to their personal lives, seem to have a blind spot when abusers or sociopaths are acting as institutions or on a large public stage.
People want to believe that only monsters commit mass abuses & atrocities. But it’s actually ordinary people, “just doing their jobs” and “just following orders”, who make horrors happen. Photos of Auschwitz personnel, 1944. rarehistoricalphotos.com/lau…

I have a disabled daughter. I hate calling her insurance company for services. The people on the phone are controlled by a corporate protocol to say no. What does that do to the employee who is forced to act in an uncompassionate manner? The evil is structural due to capitalism.

The ego convinces us to protect it at all costs, even to the point of standing back and watching our brothers and sisters burn so we don't get stained by the smoke. We need to open ourselves to the message of spirit instead and stand for all of us.

These photos make me sick. My mother was a prisoner at Auschwitz as a teenager and to think of people laughing while atrocities were occurring right in front of their eyes is beyond terrible. We must all stand up to hate!

Many people aren't that savvy in their personal lives. Two words: Dr. Nasser. We need a complete cultural shift. I'm pulling for you Marianne.
